Just waiting for the exhaust to turn up, I have also ordered a silicone hose set and a set
of T clamps from 034 Motorsports
Been removing everything in preperation for fitting the new exhaust and manifold.
Airbox out, wastgate off, lambda disconnected, downpipe dropped,
turbo unbolted - top water and oil pipes disconnected,
top turbo hose off, taken out seven of the manifold nuts although a few did come
out with the studs as well - not bothered if they do so long as I don't snap any

August 2009: All ready for the new EM and 3" turbo back stainless steel system
with one race cat.
Been down to Audi, ordered a new gasket, nuts and bolts etc etc..
The boost hose that goes from the wastegate to the WGFV - don't break it, new £70
(I'll be treating that with care when I refit my old one)

Got as far as this.....

I had to cut about five of the studs to make the manifold fit right.
I didn't want to take all the studs out and replace them with RS2 one's
(fear of snapping them) but I know I should've done
All done!
Hasn't been problem free though
The US rear bumper are they larger than the Euro spec one (I know the fronts are)?
I couldn't hide the rear box
Also I need to sort out a better bracket for the front/cat section and the rear box section.
Dispite this I am well chuffed
Car battery is on trickle charge now



I think I have messed up a bit
'I thought' it would just be enough with the rear silencer box - but clearly it isn't.
I really need another mid silencer box
But, Hell talk about hearing the 5 pot burble!!!
